[Research and Development PC Configuration Example] Machine for Structural Analysis of Buildings
This is a configuration assuming structural analysis using DIANA or Patran.
This is a proposal for a machine aimed at structural analysis using the finite element method with DIANA or Patran. The hardware requirements on the official DIANA FEA website list a recommended configuration for computational workstations that includes a Xeon W. This recommended configuration fits well within the budget range for this project. In our proposal, we have adjusted the specifications to meet the customer's requests while considering the manufacturer's recommended configuration. ■Point - In response to the request to "prioritize the efficiency of working time over analysis time and to introduce a machine that operates comfortably even with models that have a large number of elements and nodes," we have changed the GPU to an A4000. - The manufacturer's website states that CPU performance should primarily prioritize single-core performance, so we selected a product with high processing capability per core. - Since the recommended CPU, Xeon W, has the same architecture as the 11th generation Core series, we chose the 12th generation Core i9 considering the cost of the GPU and the processing capability per core. Please note that DIANA does not support GPGPU, so the video card will only be used for rendering purposes.
